Our Wildlife
While you’ll mainly come to Tweedhill to fish, you are bound to see some
of the stunning wildlife that we share our river with.
As you drive down the track from Fishwick to the river, you’ll probably see a Brown Hare or two, and perhaps a Red Deer.
Saint Thomas’s island hosts a mass of Sand Martins every year. And every day, you’ll see Oystercatchers, Sandpipers, Kingfishers, a Heron, and Egrets. We even have a visiting Osprey who you may see feeding on the river.
